When it comes to your children’s well-being, health and safety must be a top priority. At Pumpkin Patch Childcare & Learning Center Childcare & Learning Center, we take the following steps to ensure a safe and healthy learning and growing environment:
- We have a secure front entrance with individual codes for each family
- All caregivers are trained in First Aid, CPR, Shaken Baby, and SIDS
- We complete daily classroom and playground safety inspections
- We have monthly fire and tornado drills
- Background Studies are completed for all employees
- A licensed nurse visits monthly to assess the health of the children and review our health and safety policies and practices
- All van drivers are trained in proper passenger restraint procedures
- We use lower ratios on field trips
- We receive an annual inspection from the state health department
- We have annual fire safety inspections
- Our records, policies, practices, and procedures are reviewed by licensing
- We have extra staff members available to substitute when staff are sick or on vacation to always maintain required teacher-to-child ratios.
